It can be divided into 2 types: Patients with deficiency of spleen and kidney Qi may suffer from 94 vaginal bleeding, pain and straining in the lower abdomen, and soreness and weakness of the waist and knees; and patients with heat pathogens in the blood may suffer from vaginal discharge of fresh red blood, abdominal pain, increased movement of the fetus, flushed face, dryness in mouth and discharge of dark urine in short streams.

Recipe 1: Three pumpkin stalks.
Administration: The pumpkin stalks are cut into small pieces, and boiled in water to make a tea for drinking once in the middle of each of the first to month of pregnancy.
Indication: This tea is used to treat threatened abortion of heat pathogens in the blood type.

Recipe 2: Three pumpkin stalks and 3 stalks of lotus seedpod.
Administration: The stalks are baked to a yellow color, and ground to prepare a powder for oral intake with rice gruel 3 times.
Indication: This recipe is used to treat threatened abortion with profuse vaginal bleeding due to heat pathogens in the blood.

Recipe 3: Sesame oil 100 ml and fresh honey 200 ml. Administration: The sesame oil and honey are mixed and warmed for oral intake of 10 ml, twice a day.
Indication: This recipe can enrich spleen and stomach Qi to treat threatened abortion due to deficiency of the spleen and stomach Qi in patients with constipation or toxemia during pregnancy.

Recipe 4: Longan meat 30 g, Jiguanhua (white cockscomb, charred) 50 g and an adequate amount of liquor.
Administration: The above ingredients are boiled, with water and the liquor in the same proportions to produce a decoction for drinking.
Indication: This recipe is used to treat threatened abortion due to deficiency of spleen and kidney Qi.

Recipe 5: Longan meat 50 g, lotus seed with plumules removed 50 g and powder of Chinese yam 100 g.
Administration: A decoction of the first 2 materials obtained by boiling on a slow fire is used to make a gruel with Chinese yam powder for oral intake twice a day.
Indication: This gruel can be taken orally after pregnancy for prevention of threatened abortion in patients with deficiency of spleen and.kidney Qi.
